SHORT CLUB short film festival

Goal – if you don’t know what it’s about.

We want to establish a community of: independent filmmakers, film freaks, anyone interested and their audiences. The goal is to bring all of you together and set a common ground for screenings of your movies, discussions, pitching, feedbacking, info/projects/equipment exchange and a hung-out.  We what to show the film-art too awkward, hardcore or experimental for the regular competitions – the cinema that makes a statement.

The big plan therefore is to make an independent festival hence activate the Aalborg’s (art-)cinema-scene in a completely non-profit and strictly creative commons way. The first competition lasted two days – 27 and 28 of October – and took place in an old, studio cinema adjacent to the 1000Fryd club. We have a bar, music and places to sit around in between and after the shows. And it is the audience that votes for and gets to choose THE BEST SHORT FILM of each event! The next one will launch in January 2013.

It’s a cinema, it’s a cafe, it’s a community and everyone is invited to come and share films, reviews, suggestions or just a table with us – the SHORT CLUB PROJECTORS – and the INVITED FILM MAKERS.  Get more updates via our facebook page.
